BUTLER, BERROA NAMED PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Stockton OF Lawrence Butler and San Jose RHP Prelander Berroa have been named Low-A West Player and Pitcher of the Week for July 19-25.

LAWRENCE BUTLER – Against San Jose last week, Butler went 10-for-25 with a double and three home runs. On Wednesday he was 2-for-4 with two homers and six RBIs. Butler’s 13 home runs are tied for fourth in Low-A West.

 

PRELANDER BERROA – On Saturday against Stockton, Berroa went six shutout innings and allowed one hit with no walks and nine strikeouts. In July, Berroa is 2-0 with a 1.57 ERA over five starts. In 28 2/3 July innings, he has allowed 18 hits and nine walks with 34 strikeouts.
