RAMIREZ KNOCKS IN GAME-WINNER FOR 66ERS IN 4-3 WIN OVER QUAKES

Alexander Ramirez doubled in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth inning as the Inland Empire 66ers beat the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes 4-3 on Monday night at San Manuel Stadium. Jack Kochanowicz went 7 1/3 innings and allowed three runs (2 ER) on six hits and a walk with eight strikeouts but got a no-decision.

The 66ers (4-6) got their four runs on just five hits with Adrian Placencia leading the offense with two hits, two RBIs and a run scored.

Rancho Cucamonga (4-6) trailed 3-1 going to the top of the eighth inning, but they chased Kochanowicz after an RBI double by Jake Vogel and tied the game up on a sac fly by Damon Keith.

Blake Siegler (W, 4-0) blew the save but got the win with 1 2/3 IP where he allowed one hit and two walks with one strikeout.

Vogel and Yunior Garcia each had two hits for the Quakes. They used four pitchers who combined to strike out 15 batters against just three walks.

Tuesday is an off day with game two of the six-game series going Wednesday night at 7:05PM.
