PORTS OUTLAST QUAKES 13-12

The Stockton Ports scored in each of the first five innings to build a 10-4 lead but needed all three runs from a seventh-inning rally to edge the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes 13-12 on Sunday at LoanMart Field.

#11 A’s prospect Henry Bolte had four hits, including a double and his first home run of the season, and drove in five runs.

Brayan Buelvas, Oakland’s #23 prospect, went 2-for-4 with a double and two walks and also scored three runs.

Robert Puason singled twice, following a three-hit game on Saturday night. Puason has gone 6-for-16 over his last four games after slumping mightily to start the season.

T.J. Schofield-Sam went hitless in four at-bats, ending a four-game hitting streak. Schofield-Sam had gone 11-for-29 over his past eight games with three doubles and a home run.

The Quakes won four of the six games in the series. Rancho Cucamonga travels to Visalia on Tuesday while Stockton hosts San Jose.
