P.J. HILSON – San Jose’s OF went 8-for-16 against Fresno last week with a double, a triple and two home runs. The 2018 draft pick drove in seven runs and scored six. Hilson has been red-hot in August, batting .447/.463/1.026 with six home runs and 15 RBIs.
RICARDO YAN – Visalia’s right-hander went seven innings on Wednesday against Lake Elsinore and allowed one run on one hit and two walks, while striking out nine. It was the second consecutive outing with nine strikeouts for the 20-year old from the Dominican Republic. Yan is second in the Cal League with 105 strikeouts on the season.
