Jose Rivas hit a 2-run homer to give Stockton a 16-15 walk-off win over Modesto on Tuesday night. Rivas went 3-for-6 with 3RBI and CF Brayan Buelvas went 3-for-4 to lead Stockton’s 15-hit attack. Modesto SS Noelvi Marte went 4-for-5 with 3HR (15) and 9RBI in the loss. RHP Sam Romero (W, 1-0) covered the final 1 1/3 innings to pick up the win, allowing no runs on one hit and one walk with three Ks. Modesto DH Alberto Rodriguez went 4-for-5 with a double and four runs scored.
