The California League will have eight representatives in this year’s Futures Game on July 13th in Minnesota. The US vs. the World contest is part of the MLB All-Star weekend and features standout players from across the minor leagues.
California League players that will be suiting up the USA team:
RHP Braden Shipley – Visalia
SS Corey Seager – Rancho Cucamonga
And also representing the Cal League on the World roster:
RHP Tayron Guerrero – Lake Elsinore
LHP Julio Urias – Rancho Cucamonga
SS Carlos Correa – Lancaster
SS Rosell Herrera – Modesto
3B Renato Nunuz – Stockton
OF Gaby Guerrero – High Desert
Correa won’t participate following a leg injury last Saturday night and is still being evaluated.
